Billericay Town recorded a second-successive victory, moving them further away from the Vanarama National League South dropzone.
Following on from their 4-1 thrashing of Hemel Hampstead Town, Jamie O’Hara’s men saw off Slough Town at New Lodge thanks to two unanswered goals from Jake Robinson and Jai Reason.
The result propelled Town up to thirteenth in the table ahead of their midweek trip to Welling United.
Meanwhile, Billericay have brought in experienced striker, Billy Knott, signed a short term dual-registration deal from Bowers & Pitsea.
The 27-year-old represented England several times at youth level and appeared in the Premier League for Sunderland before gaining further experience with AFC Wimbledon, Gillingham, Wycombe Wanderers, Bradford City, Port Vale, Lincoln City and Rochdale.
But it’s back-to-back defeats for Chelmsford City who slipped by a goal to nil against Hampton & Richmond Borough at the Melbourne Community Stadium.

Bowers & Pitsea have considerably bolstered their attacking options by re-signing striker, George Purcell.
Purcell moves back to the Len Salmon Stadium following a short stint at another of his former clubs, Hornchurch. The player is the Urchins all-time record goalscorer, hitting the net 149 times from 279 appearances. He has also enjoyed notable spells with Canvey Island, Grays Athletic and Aveley.
Not content with that, Bowers have also brought in Bradley Sach, another frontman with previous experience gleaned at Aveley and Potters Bar Town.
Sach started out at Boreham Wood, featuring in their National League squad on a number of occasions after progressing through the Academy.
Canvey Island are set for an Emirates FA Cup windfall after their second-round toe with Southend United’s conquerors, Boreham Wood, was selected for live coverage by BT Sport.
