Two out of two for Super Saints

Southend Saints 32-0 East Suffolk Saxons

SOUTHEND SAINTS made it back-to-back Eastern Counties Women’s Merit League victories as East Suffolk Saxons were beaten in front of a sizable crowd at Warners Bridge

It proved to be a dominant display from the Saints, who followed up their recent 10-0 success over Haverhill with another dominating display. The Seasiders moved the ball quickly and displayed superiority in the scrum.

Shelby Gilson, Cat Malcolm and Kirsty Flynn each scored two tries. Speaking after the match, Head Coach, Paul Bach, enthused: “The whole squad contributed to this great win. We are getting better and stronger every week and learning lessons from each match.

“Another clean sheet was the most pleasing aspect. We managed to withstand anything they had to throw at us. It was also great to receive such good backing from our supporters – we really appreciate it.”
