Victim named by detectives investigating death of woman in Leyton

A woman found with multiple stab injuries at an address in Leyton, has been named as 35-year-old Li Qing Wang

Officers and London Ambulance Service colleagues attended the address on Magnolia Close, E10 on on Tuesday, February 25, but were unable to save her life.

A man, aged 54, who was also inside the property, was arrested and remains in police custody.

A post-mortem examination will take place this week.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command has made an appeal to Mrs Wang’s family and friends and members of the local community to come forward with information.

DCI Considine, said: “To understand why this tragic incident occurred I would urge anyone that knew the victim well and had insight into her domestic situation to contact my team.

“For those who would like to speak to us but whose first language is not English, we will arrange for an interpreter.

“This is the worst of times for Mrs Wang’s family and loved ones and we will continue to provide specialist support.”
