Newly promoted Sky Bet League One outfit Leyton Orient have confirmed that popular goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux is leaving the club to join Premier League newcomers Burnley on a three-year contract.
Camden-born Vigouroux played a pivotal role in the O’s Sky Bet League Two title campaign, keeping 24 clean sheets, including nine on the bounce at Brisbane Road.
Indeed, the stopper recorded 59 shutouts from 152 appearances for the East Londoners. Speaking to www.leytonorient.com about the players’ departure, O’s Director of Football, Martin Ling, said: “Whilst we are disappointed to see Lawrence go, we would never stand in the way of a player making a move to a Premier League side.
“Lawrence was a fantastic player for us and a great person to have in and around the dressing room. We wish him nothing but the best for the future.”
