Wall signing another statement of intent from Concord

DANNY SCOPES reflected upon another busy week at Concord Rangers after re-signing striker Alex Wall as well as securing the future of midfielder, Chris Miller.

And with goalkeeping coach, Scott Bowen, also confirming another season at the Aspect Arena, the Beach Boys boss could afford to be satisfied with his lot.

Frontman Wall netted 33 times for Concord during a previous period with the club before moving on to brief spells at Hemel Hempstead Town and Woking.

Speaking to Yellow Sport about the 29-year-olds return, Scopes enthused: “After signing Sam Blackman, bringing Alex back to the club proves that we have something to offer and they want to return.

“He was excellent for us during his last spell and will be a huge focal point for us as a team, giving us a platform to build on. The younger lads in the squad can learn from Alex too – it’s a win-win for us.

“Alex had some disappointments last season. I think he’ll use that to fire up his hunger and produce his best football again. It’s great to have him back.”
