An unbeaten half-century from Naivedyam Dwivedi helped Wanstead & Snaresbrook win their Gooch Division title-decider with old adversaries, Brentwood at the Old County Ground.

Dwivedi’s decisive 54 came off 66 balls and included nine boundaries as the East Londoners chased down the target set of 193.

Kishen Velani’s 43 helped the Wanstead cause. Earlier, wicketkeeper/batsman, Will Buttleman, had hit 66 and Kieran Emmanuel 41 before the Brentwood innings was concluded at the end of the penultimate over – Joe Ellis-Grewal taking 3/20 and Eshun Kalley 3/34 for the victorious visitors’ who top the final table by sixteen points.
