Vanarama National League South outfit, Billericay Town, has confirmed the appointment of Kevin Watson as their new first-team manager.
After starting at Tottenham Hotspur, Watson enjoyed a notable playing career, with lengthy spells at Colchester United, Rotherham United, Reading and Swindon Town before going into management.
The 46-year-old took charge at Maldon & Tiptree and Bishop’s Stortford before being appointed by Ebbsfleet United after initially taking the job on a caretaker basis in 2019.
Watson was selected from more than 50 applicants for the New Lode post. He will be joined by Tristan Lewis who arrives in an assistant capacity. The duo’s first task will be to steady the ship and move Billericay clear of the relegation places following recent defeats at the hands of Concord Rangers and Oxford City.
Meanwhile, Danny Brown, and Ash Goss, who took charge on an interim basis, will return to their original posts with the Blues under 23 side and Colts set-up.
