Harold Wood recorded a comfortable 98-run victory over Wickford, leaving the visitors at the foot of the Division One table after eight games.
Shahbaz Khan was amongst the runs, scoring 72 off 67 balls for the home side, as was Dhruv Talati (67) and Muhammed Zareef (66). Connor Etchells was the pick of the Wickford attack with two for 48.
Skipper, Chris Westwood hit 71. But that, along with Ronnie McKenna’s 54 and Huzaifa Umer’s 33 proved insufficient as led by Daniel Carter, returning hugely impressive figures of seven for 44, Harold Wood eased home with some to spare.
