As part of Brain Tumour Awareness Month, Watson Wigs will be holding a Big Bandana Bake outside the shop in Wickford High Street on Saturday March 7 from 10am-1pm.

The event will be raising money and awareness for the Brain Tumour Charity.

Big Bandana Bake aims to raise £200,000 nationwide, which could fund a researcher and their work into new brain tumour treatments for three years.

The charity know that less than two per cent of cancer research funding in the UK is spent on research into brain tumours. For the 11,400 people diagnosed each year, and their family and friends, this isn’t good enough.

With close friends and family affected by brain tumours, Watson Wigs proprietor Carla Watson been a sponsor since 2017 and has held fundraising events since then to raise awareness and much needed funds for the charity.
