Zak Wilson and Mark O’Neil scored half-centuries to help Orsett & Thurrock’s second string over the line against their Old Southendian & Southchurch counterparts at the Peter Butler Oval.

Both batters hit 55, O’Neill finishing unbeaten as the visitors chased down 218 to secure victory. Shahid Hussain was the pick of the Old Boys attack, returning figures of three for 66.

Earlier, Henry Williams had himself finished unbeaten on 51, while Blake Sutheran hit 42. However, Dean Henry took 3/50, while Wilson and Callum Owen took two apiece to keep the hosts in check.
