Witness appeal after shooting in Romford

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a shooting in Havering.

Police were called at 07:37am on Wednesday, October 14 to reports of a shooting on White Hart Lane in Romford.

Officers attended and found a man, aged in his mid-30s, with a gunshot injury to his leg.

He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital for treatment; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Trident detectives from the Specialist Crime Command would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.

Enquiries to establish a motive for the shooting continue.
