Witness appeal as cyclist is injured in Brentwood collision

Police are appealing for dash cam footage or witnesses to a collision in Blackmore Road, Brentwood, that occurred earlier today, Sunday 25 April, involving a cyclist and a Mini.

It was reported that the Mini and a white Vauxhall Insignia overtook a van travelling on Blackmore Road. The Mini pulled in front of the van, where it was in collision with a cyclist.

The Mini failed to stop and left the scene.

The cyclist – a man in his 50s – sustained a leg injury and has been taken to hospital via air ambulance.

Witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage is asked to call 101 quoting incident 225 of 25 April.
