Woman dies in collision on M25

A woman has died following a collision on the M25.

Police were notified of a single-vehicle collision at 8.40pm on Saturday December 23 in which it was reported a car had collided with the central reservation.

The clockwise section of the road was closed between junction 27 heading towards junction 28.

The driver, a young woman from London, died at the scene.

The passenger, a woman in her 20s, sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

The road was reopened at around 4.30am this morning.
