Wright departs the O’s by mutual consent

Josh Wright has left Sky Bet League Two outfit, Leyton Orient by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old midfielder leaves Brisbane Road after making 53 appearances for the club after arriving in June 2019 – the Bethnal Green player was the last player signed by Justin Edinburgh before his tragic death just days later.

Speaking to www.leytonorient.com, O’s chief, Ross Embleton, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed working with Josh, he’s a good professional, and has had a big impact on the club as a whole for a number of reasons; namely his performances on the pitch and the goals that he scored.

“We felt that, with Josh not getting the time on the pitch that he wanted, it suited both him and the club to give him the opportunity to explore different options, rather than wait until the summer.”
