This afternoon, Yellow Sports coverage focuses on Southend United’s battle at the bottom of Sky Bet League Two and West Ham United’s rise up the Premier League on a day where crowds return to football stadiums around the country.
Rowland Lyons will be at the Lamex Stadium where hosts Stevenage – 91st in the Football League – take on a Blues side already cut adrift and desperate for a change of fortune.
Southend has won just one of their fourteen league outings to date, taking just five points from the 42 on offer.
Meanwhile, I’ll be at the London Stadium to see if in-form West Ham United can make further ground on the top four by beating a Manchester United side, themselves having won their last three in the Premier League.
David Moyes’ men have perhaps been a surprise package to many this season. They will be confident of building on a run of five wins from seven outings – a sequence which has moved them up to fifth, just four points from Spurs at the top.
Two thousand lucky Hammers fand will join us at the London Stadium following the lifting of restrictions. Good luck to them and all our regional clubs and fans.
Look out for team news, updates, reports and reaction from around the grounds.
Stay safe – Jeevesie
