Vanarama National Leeague
Dagenham & Redbridge kept their play-off hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over Buildbase FA Trophy finalists, Bromley at Hayes Lane.

Paul McCallum and Junior Morias netted after the interval to ensure the East Londoners’ three points. They remain in eighth place, four points behind Grimsby Town in seventh.

Meanwhile, top of the table Stockport County made short work of out of sorts Southend United in a one-sided Vanarama National League encounter at Edgeley Park.

Will Collar and Myles Hippolyte netted twice in four first-half minutes. And the home side took a huge step toward returning to the EFL thanks to a Paddy Madden brace and a late strike from substitute Andy Cannon.

Vanarama National League South
Billericay Town remain outside the relegation zone on goal difference following a 2-0 defeat at Hampton & Richmond Borough. Chelmsford City are just three points better off after their 1-1 draw with Tonbridge Angels at the Melbourne Community Stadium. Adebola Oluwo had fired the Clarets into a first-half lead before the Kent club hit back through Coombes.

Braintree Town went down by four unanswered goals at Havant & Waterlooville. However, Concord Rangers provided some joy for the region. Kyei bagged an impressive hat-trick to ensure a 3-1 victory over Bath City at the Aspect Arena.

Pitching In Isthmian League Premier Division
Hornchurch took another huge step towards securing a play-off place with a resounding 5-0 victory over Cray wanderers at Hayes Lane.

Ola Ogunwamide, Liam Nash, Ellis Brown, Charlie Ruff and Tobi Joseph netted for the Urchins who ar up to third.

Brightlingsea Regent did their survival prospects the power of good with a 2-1 victory over high-flying Enfield Town. Aaron Blair and Ollie Bell netting for the North Essex outfit.

East Thurrock United also edged out of the dropzone thanks to a 1-1 draw at Bognor Regis Town. Ben Wyss equalising for the Rocks in the last minute at Nyewood Lane.

Haringey Borough went down by three goals to nil at Horsham. Bowers & Pitsea were also on the wrong end of the result as top of the table Worthing won 2-0 at the Len Salmon Stadium.

Pitching In Isthmian League North
Top of the table Aveley slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Hashtag United at Parkside. Matthew Wooldridge and Jermaine Francis netted for the visitors on either side of a George Sykes strike for the Millers.

Canvey Island emphatically closed the gap by hitting an incredible thirteen unanswered goals against hapless Romford at Park Lane.

Bradley Sach scored five while Evans Kouassi hit three. Conor Hubble (2), Mason Hall, Elliott Ronto and Odei Martin Sorondo ensured the 393-crowd a memorable afternoon. The Gulls are two points behind Aveley with a superior goal difference.

Brentwood Town are third following a 4-1 win at Hullbridge Sports. Rob Harvey, Matt Cripps, Jai Reason and Ashley Nzala netted for Rod Stringer’s men, while George Smith responded for Sports.

Grays Athletic make up those occupying the play-off places. Lewis Clark netted thirteen minutes from time to ensure a single-goal success at Dereham Town. Maldon & Tiptree lost ground after going down 3-0 at home to AFC Sudbury.

Joseph Claridge’s penalty three minutes before the interval handed Heybridge Swifts a 1-0 victory over struggling Basildon United at Gardiners Close. Charles Bampoe scored twice, one from the spot while
Sam Jeremiah added another in Tilbury’s 3-1 win at Burry Town.

Coggeshall Town and Great Wakering Rovers played out a 1-1 draw. Jack Hayes fired the Seedgrowers into a fifth-minute lead before Jake Gordon earned Rovers a point midway through the second half.

Witham Town and Barking remain in danger of relegation after 2-1 home defeats at the hands of Stowmarket Town and Felixstowe & Walton United respectively.

Essex Senior League
With the title already in the bag, Walthamstow perhaps took their foot off the pedal, slipping to a 2-0 defeat at Hoddesdon Town. Second-placed Saffron Walden Town won 2-1 at Little Oakley, while Redbridge took the points thanks to a 3-1 success over Stanway Rovers.

FC Clacton were in fine form, hammering Clapton by four goals to nil. Takeley also hit four, beating bottom of the table Sporting Bengal United 4-1.

Stansted and Sawbridgeworth Town recorded 2-1 victories over Southend Manor and Cockfosters respectively. Meanwhile, Friday night encounters saw West Essex edge out Ilford 2-1, while Woodford Town and St Margaretsbury finished goalless.

Essex Olympian League
Premier Division

Rayleigh Town top the table on goals difference following a 4-0 thrashing of Shenfield AFC. With Ongar Town out of action, Basildon Town moved within a point of the summit by beating Catholic United by two unanswered goals.

Hutton remain in contention thanks to a hard-fought 2-1 triumph at Galleywood. Fifth-placed Kelvedon Hatch were amongst the goals, beating Harold Wood Athletic 4-1 at New Hall.

Sungate were the big winners of the day, hitting six without reply against Springfield. Elsewhere, Leigh Ramblers followed up last week’s win over Old Southendian by edging out Canning Town by the odd goals in three.
